By-laws

1. Date 11/30/06

2. Purpose: To bring together self defense instructors in order to form a network of instructors. This shall include, but not be limited to discussion and promotion of quality instructor techniques, training formats, and all aspects of training.

3. Club officers/Board members

4. Board Members are elected by the members every two years. Board members must be a club member in good standing for two consecutive years prior to being elected except for the first election, and for the second election board members must be a member in good standing for at least fourteen consecutive months. Elections will be held on the first weekend of May every two years starting May of 2006. Jr. Board member must be under 18 and as full voting rights. The President # is the founder so can never be removed from the board. Board members with an * can only be replaced by the president. The President has final say on all club business, but the board of directors has total input to the president. No board meeting will closed to the membership unless cleared by the president and notice is given to all of the membership, (7) days in advance, in writing, of the closed meeting. All Records are open to all members at every board meeting, or when a written request is sent to the President, Secretary or Treasurer. The board of directors will put the membership first and can be removed by the President if the Board Member does not do this. New board members will be added for states as soon as they get a chapter in that state.

6. The President and/or the Board of Directors have a right to not accept any new membership or renewal application for any reason.

8. Local chapters can be established by the Board when they see fit but can only be closed by the president. Chapters if established by the Board of Directors will submit a copy of all financial records and meeting minutes with 72 hours the meeting. Chapters are required to have a local meeting at least every 60 days unless approved by the Board of directors. Chapters can only be started with a minimum 15 members in good standing signing a request for chapter charter form. Each chapter will be given 100.00 start up money to be used for chapter business.

9. Political action committee may be established by the Board when they see fit.

10. Newsletter may be established by the Board when they see fit.

11. Board meeting/ Chapter meetings will be run by Roberts Rule of Order except when in conflict with state law.

12. Duties of the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are to perform as expected by state laws and Roberts Rule of Order. To make all reports available to the President, Board of Directors and the Membership when called for, by the bylaws. To put the membership first.

13. Duties of the President to protect the Membership and the MW Instructor Club from unfair treatment by anti-groups. To put the membership first.

14. Duties of each member should try to recruit new members. Each member should never do anything to hurt the club, another member, or our rights as citizens of the United States.

15. The board will establish committees as needed to help the club meet the needs of the membership.

16. The President has the right to change the bylaws as he see fit under the advisement of the membership and the Board of Directors.
